You won’t find me say much about myself. My job here is to give you the information you need to change your life, but I guess you need some info about me.
I was born in Augusta, GA. At 18, I moved to Sarasota until I went into the Marines. I served my time there. Upon discharge, I’ve helped manage and make more profitable, several businesses. These include big corporations such as Blockbuster, Ruby Tuesdays, Liquid Aire and others in different fields. I’m happily married to my wife Patti and we have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a few fish. We live in a modest home in Wilmington, NC and pay our bills just like everyone else.
Hopefully by now, you realize, I’m just a normal person. My experiences are what make me. I’ve met and studied Anthony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Dr. Wayne Dyer, etc, etc. What makes me different is that I use what I learn and I’m a natural born teacher, organizer, and problem solver. I create MACHINES. Machines that are the aspect of life you are having trouble with. This machine, once created, will solve most of your stress problems as long as you abide by the rules of it’s operation and perform the scheduled maintenance. This machine will allow you the mental time to enjoy your life and enrich it to the fullest.
In your personal life, many things can cause stress, the wife, kids, bills, even yard work. I will teach you reframing techniques that will begin you on the road to balance. Without Yin, you cannot have Yang. I will also teach you personality traits that all humans have and teach you to recognize them in yourself. This will help you learn why you make the decisions you do. Your beliefs will need some tweaking too. When I find a belief that is not working for you, we will change it together.
Concerning your business or financial life, what doesn’t cause stress would probably be the easier question to answer. The same techniques used above can be used in this arena as well with a few modifications. Since you have many people to manage, and several categories of financial aspects to keep in line and operating smoothly, we will need to teach you better communication and organizational skills. When and how you communicate with your employees is paramount to your success. Without sounding cliche, “Happy employees make for a happy business!”
Then comes organizational skills. First, “Everything has it’s place, put it there!” Then comes the harder part. Are you spending in the right categories? My categories are; Employee compensation, training, office upkeep, advertising, materials and possibly a couple of more depending on your situation, but these are the primary. If you spend a vast amount on training, but are unable to gain the respect of your employees, they will never use the training. Did you waste your money? I say yes. Do you spend lots of money keeping the office looking like a spa, but when your employees need materials to accomplish their job, they aren’t there? With this scenario, do you think the clients care how great your office looks? I say No. Are you duplicating paperwork? How do you deal with problem employees? What examples of leadership are you portraying to your staff? These questions and many more is what we will be dealing with.
As you read along, you may even be asking yourself; “Is this guy really going to help me, is he going to be effective?” Here is your first lesson and it is for free. Let’s reframe this question. First, who is helping who? You are the only one who can truly help you. I’m simply a crutch. I have the information you need or may have but are not using. I can teach you the information, and re-iterate what you already know. The BIG however, is, are you going to use it? You are really the only one who knows what you will lose if you don’t. So I ask you, “Are you going to help yourself?”
With respect to effectiveness, basically the same argument can be used, with one exception. If you follow my rules, implement the plans that we discuss together, and enforce the processes that will create unity in your organization, then yes YOU will be highly effective. If you decide that you know more than I, then no, YOU, will be completely ineffective and continue with the same stresses you currently have. This will lead to a damaged personal life as well and one day, probably ulcers, heart attacks, high blood pressure, etc. And that is only if you manage to keep your business afloat, most probably, you will lose it and possibly much of your personal assets too.
